Assistant Professor Adam Dalva will lead the discussion and Purkert will read from his new novel, which NPR calls "The 2020s version of Mad Men," and Esquire describes  as "A 21st Century Catcher in the Rye...startlingly funny thanks to an unforgettable narrator [with a] Jupiter-sized ego."

Adam Dalva’s writing has appeared in The New Yorker, The Paris Review, The New York Review of Books, and The Atlantic. He is the Senior Fiction Editor of Guernica Magazine. Adam serves on the board of the National Book Critics Circle, is the Books Editor of Words Without Borders, and is an Assistant Professor of Creative Writing at Rutgers University.

Ben Purkert is the author of the novel The Men Can't Be Saved and the poetry collection For the Love of Endings. His work appears in The New Yorker, Slate, Poetry, The NationTin House, The Wall Street Journal, and he's been featured in The Boston Globe, Esquire, NPR, and elsewhere. He has taught at Rutgers and NYU, and currently teaches in the Sarah Lawrence MFA program.
