writers house email header 600 x 300 time of crisisJoin us for our next online live edition of creative thinking in times of crisis. This time, we will hear from Rutgers Associate Professor of English, Andrew Goldstone. His topic is called "Giving Yourself Away Online."

Goldstone works on twentieth-century literature, with a special focus on the sociology of literature. As a member of the Rutgers Digital Humanities Initiative, he has an ongoing interest in the ways digital media transform culture and scholarship. He created a Facebook account in 2004 but deleted it a while back, and he stopped using Twitter a couple years ago, but he's holding on tight to his personal website.

This event will be hosted by English faculty member, Richard Dienst. Participants are invited to read "A Maussian Bargain: Accumulation by gift in a digital economy."
