Hear three fantastic lecturers read from their work.

Samantha Zighelboim is the author of The Fat Sonnets(Argos Books, 2018). She is a 2017 NYFA/NYSCA Fellow in Poetry, a recipient of a Face Out grant from CLMP, and the co-recipient of the 2016 John Frederick Nims Memorial Prize in Translation from The Poetry Foundation. She holds a Master of Fine Arts from Columbia University in Poetry, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Pratt Institute in Writing. Samantha’s poems, translations and essays have appeared in POETRYBoston ReviewLitHubThe GuardianPEN Poetry SeriesStonecutterFanzineBone Bouquet and Sixth Finch, among others.

Leslieann Hobayan is a poet-writer, devoted yogi, and a member of VONA, a community dedicated to writers of color. Nominated for a Pushcart and 2018 Best of the Net, her work has appeared in The Rumpus, Aster(ix) Journal, Rigorous, Barely South Review, Generations Literary Journal,The New YorkQuarterlyPhati’tudeBabaylan: An Anthology of Filipina and Filipina-American Writers, and Pinoy Poetics. She has been awarded the James Merrill Fellowship for Poetry at the Vermont Studio Center, a Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundation writing fellowship for residency at Millay Colony for the Arts, and an artist grant for the Bread Loaf Orion Environmental Writers Conference.

Amy Lawless is the author of the poetry collections My Dead and Broadax, both from Octopus Books. With Chris Cheney, she is the author of the hybrid book I Cry: The Desire to Be Rejected from Pioneer Works Press' Groundworks Series (2016). A chapbook A Woman Alone was published by Sixth Finch in 2017. Poems have been anthologized in Best American Poetry (a collaboration with Angela Veronica Wong), Academy of American Poets' Poem-a-Day: 365 Poems for Every Occasionand The Brooklyn Poets Anthology. She received a poetry fellowship from the New York Foundation for the Arts in 2011.
