"The Doc on Doc", about the Documentary Filmmaking for Writers class, was made collaboratively by seven Writers House students (Amanda Bullis, Lizette Gesuden, Alex Prister, Jacob Rasor, Dave Rothstadt, Pilar Timpane and Francisco Veloz) . Designed and taught by Dena Seidel, a professional filmmaker with a background in broadcast television, this course focuses on short film story composition, the 3 Act structure, and film language. Students also learn the basic skills necessary to use Writers House video cameras and Final Cut software.

John Hulme is the Producer/Director of the HBO original documentary Unknown Soldier: Searching for a Father".

Dempsey Rice is an artist based in New York City. While the majority of her work for the past twelve years has been as a documentary filmmaker, freelance producer and educator, her creative pursuits extend into photography and fiber arts.
