Rutgers Summer AP English Institute faculty include: Leslie Abbatiello is a veteran teacher of 17+ years whose areas of expertise are the teaching of reading, writing,and critical thinking. For most of that time, she taught AP Language and Composition or AP Literature and Composition, along with a wide range of English courses. In addition to working now as an Education Specialist with ACES, Ms. Abbatiello is an associate of the Connecticut Writing Project, and is an endorsed College Board consultant. Vincent Lankewish teaches 11th- and 12th-grade humanities at Manhattan's Professional Performing Arts School. He has directed the Rutgers Summer A.P. English Institute since its inception in 1997. In addition, he has as served as a reader of the A.P. English exams since 1988 and as a workshop consultant for the College Board since 1998.
