Rutgers Writers House

"The Doc on Doc", about the Documentary Filmmaking for Writers class, was made collaboratively by seven Writers House students (Amanda Bullis, Lizette Gesuden, Alex Prister, Jacob Rasor, Dave Rothstadt, Pilar Timpane and Francisco Veloz) . Designed and taught by Dena Seidel, a professional filmmaker with a background in broadcast television, this course focuses on short film story composition, the 3 Act structure, and film language. Students also learn the basic skills necessary to use Writers House video cameras and Final Cut software.

Veo a Vicente is a short documentary about Vicente, a Mexican man living in New Brunswick. The film documents his alcoholic abuse in Mexico, his reasons for leaving his country, and his experience in the United States.
