"Science for the Screen" brings two prominent, EMMY award winning
filmmakers to Rutgers to discuss the art of creating dramatic, science
based narratives. PETER SCHNALL and KEVIN BACHAR, both former senior
producers for NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC TELEVISION present scenes from their
original films for National Geographic, Discovery and PBS Nature. This
exciting Writers House Master Class event will take place February 22nd, 7
PM, in the MPR of the Rutgers Student Center on College Ave.

"Atlantic Crossing" is a one-hour documentary produced by Writers House instructor Dena Seidel and a crew comprised of former and current Writers House students. This film follows RU27, an underwater robot, as she crosses the rough North Atlantic ocean. The glider has completed her mission to Spain and the crew will arrive to film her recovery in early December.

Writers House students describe their participation in the making of Atlantic Crossing, a Rutgers documentary produced by Dena Seidel. This film follows the historic transatlantic mission of RU27, an autonomous underwater robot designed by scientists at Rutgers Institute of Marine and Coastal Sciences.

This year, 5 scholars from the Institute for Women's Leadership at Rutgers were sent to Writers House Documentary Filmmaking Class with Dena Seidel. They interviewed women leaders in different fields and created short documentary projects.
